A Master Plan for the supply of electric power to ships at berth in Spanish Ports.
OPS Master Plan for Spanish Ports project aims at drafting a Master Plan for the supply of electric power to ships at berth in Spanish Ports.
OPS Master Plan for Spanish Ports project is part of the National Action Framework for the development of infrastructures for the use of alternative fuels in the transport sector, in compliance with Article 13 of Directive 2014/94 EU.
The project has a budget of 6 million Euros and is co-financed with 1.5 million Euros by the Connecting Europe Facility – CEF program for the construction of the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T). During the three years execution of this Project, pilot cases will be carried out, by providing berths with electro-mechanical facilities for the supply of power to ships in various Spanish ports of national interest. Also some ten ships will be adapted to be ready for shore connection. Finally, the Project includes realization of a series of regulatory, technical and environmental studies to identify existing barriers and propose appropriate solutions.
