Document issued to a carrier to pick up goods at one location and deliver them to another location.

Document issued by the customs broker to the ocean carrier as authority to release the cargo to the appropriate party. Also called a customs release.

Measures the percentage of orders that are fulfilled on or before the internal commit date and is used to evaluate internal scheduling systems effectiveness.

Measures the percentage of orders that are fulfilled on or before the customer’s requested date and is used to evaluate responsiveness to market demand.

Seller is responsible for arranging transport and delivering the goods at the named place, cleared for import and all applicable taxes and duties paid (e.g. VAT, GST).

Similar to supply chain management, but with an emphasis on consumer pull versus supplier push and driven by users rather than manufacturers of goods.
