Homayoun Falakshahi

Head of Crude Oil Analysis

Homayoun brings over 11 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong track record in market analysis and strategic insight. He leads Kpler’s crude oil analysis team, managing analysts focused on global oil market dynamics, supply & demand, and geopolitical drivers. He frequently delivers insights to global clients and speaks at major industry events. He holds an MSc in Energy Management from ESCP Europe and an MA in MENA Geopolitics from Sciences Po Grenoble. Fluent in Farsi and French, he is based in Paris.

Dimitris Ampatzidis

Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst

Dimitris is a Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst with extensive experience in the shipping industry, specializing in risk assessment, governance, and data analysis. He has a proven track record of launching industry-standard risk products and developing comprehensive sanction risk protocols. At Lloyd's Register, he was the go-to expert for Port State Control (PSC) analytics, providing specialized training to shipping professionals on minimizing risks during inspections, while also developing emissions reporting processes and establishing robust sanctions protocols. Previously, as a Business Data Analyst at SAFETY4SEA, Dimitris played a key role in developing the RISK4SEA platform, focusing on PSC analytics. He holds Master’s degrees in IT Project Management from Stockholm University and Information Systems from Linnaeus University, along with a Bachelor's in Statistics and Insurance Science from the University of Piraeus.

Andon Pavlov

Director of Oil and Tanker Research

Prior to Kpler's acquisition, Andon had spent five years at JBC Energy, leading the downstream research team. For the past three years, he has spearheaded in-depth analyses on refinery margin estimates, operational supply and demand modelling, and forecasting, along with comprehensive cross-barrel analyses. Working alongside his team of seasoned professionals at Kpler, recently, Andon expanded his leadership to oversee liquids and freight research at Kpler. He is based in Vienna, Austria.

Franck Fischer

VP Oil & Chemicals

Franck Fischer leads Kpler’s Oil and Chemicals business unit and brings over 30 years of trading and energy market experience. He has worked in physical and financial trading at firms like Totsa, Gunvor, and Rothschild, across global hubs (London, New York, Geneva, Singapore, Moscow). Since joining Kpler in 2021, Franck has led the development of the company’s S&D product and now oversees strategic client engagement, ensuring delivery of the best data, tools, and insights.

Panos Dragounis

Ship Tracking Commercial Director

Panos holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, and International Relations from Brown University (GPA 4.0) and a Graduate Degree in Marine Business Management. He has held various commercial, financial, and executive roles in media, yachting, travel and technology, and founded multiple businesses in publishing, brokerage, chartering, and global exports. Previously, Panos was Global Head of Sales at MarineTraffic during its acquisition by Kpler in 2023. He is currently Ship Tracking Commercial Director at Kpler, focusing on market expansion, revenue growth, and aligning business goals with customer needs to drive long-term success.‍
