Jean-Charles brings over a decade of experience in the maritime industry, having held key positions at maritime intelligence firms, satellite technology startups, and within the government sector. His extensive expertise in maritime data analytics, vessel tracking technologies, and data quality programs positions him as a leading authority in the field. As the Ship Tracking Business Unit Director at Kpler, Jean-Charles oversees the maritime and compliance product portfolios, delivering critical support to Kpler’s growing customer base. His leadership ensures the provision of cutting-edge solutions that enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance for Kpler clients.

Kevin Kinnee

U.S. National Security Liaison Officer

With over 25 years of experience in federal law enforcement, Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. Kevin served as a criminal investigator and supervisor within the Department of Homeland Security for over 20 years. His work focused on leading investigations that targeted transnational criminal organizations involved in narcotics trafficking, money laundering, weapons smuggling, human trafficking, sanctions violations, and national security threats. Kevin's extensive background in law enforcement and his leadership roles in significant federal operations underscore his capability to manage complex security challenges and coordinate across multiple agencies.

Julia Santos

Market Data Analyst - Dry Bulk

Julia leads the Americas efforts for the Agricultural & Dry Bulk Commodities unit of Kpler. She holds a B.S. in Physical Oceanography from University of California, Santa Barbara and previously worked as a Senior Maritime Analyst focusing on driving sustainability and efficiency in the maritime industry through voyage optimization. As a Market Data Analyst, she closely monitors Kpler’s granular data on vessel movements, trade activity, and macro flows in Grains and Oilseeds, Fertilizers, Forest Products, and other Dry Minor Bulks.

Senior Analyst - Macroeconomy and Cross Commodity

Richard Ro

Senior Crude Market Analyst

Richard is the Senior Crude Market Analyst for Kpler, leading coverage of the Americas region. He oversees key exporters like the US, Brazil, Mexico, and Venezuela, analyzing vessel movements, trade activities, and crude oil flows. Before joining Kpler, Richard spent over six years as a Senior Data Analyst at Energy Intelligence, where he enhanced data accuracy and integrity across the firm's global oil and gas data products. He began his career in finance, working with a middle-market financing company and an energy market retailer. Richard holds an MS in Global Affairs from New York University and a BA in Finance and Economics from the University of Illinois, Champaign.
