Alessandro Armenia

Energy Analyst

Alessandro Armenia is an energy analyst leading the Power Analytics team. With a multicultural background, he holds three nationalities and is fluent in five languages (Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, English). His academic journey includes a BSc in physics engineering at Politecnico di Milano and a double-degree master’s in Energy Engineering, studying at IST in Portugal and École Polytechnique in France. Before joining Kpler, he worked at TotalEnergies as a Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) analyst, applying his expertise in modeling and techno-economic analysis to assist the team to assess the feasibility of 'CCS-as-a-service' adoption in the industry. Additionally, for two years, he was the voice of the InnoStation podcast, interviewing over 15 CEOs and co-founders of energy startups driving the energy transition. At Kpler, Alessandro focuses on developing new products—such as the Power Insights offering—crafting technical reports, and simplifying the complexities of power markets for clients and stakeholders based on their energy needs and objectives. His expertise lies in European power markets, particularly short-term and balancing markets. As his team expands, he remains committed to ensuring that Kpler delivers the most accurate and forward-looking energy data and insights available.
