Go Katayama

Principal Insight Analyst - LNG & Natural Gas

Go Katayama is a Principal Insights Analyst - LNG & Natural Gas at Kpler based in Tokyo with over a decade of experience in analyzing global LNG markets for various clients and internal stakeholders. He leads Kpler Insights fundamental analysis on Asian demand. Prior to joining Kpler, he was Senior LNG analyst and Japan power regulation Advisor at Shell and global LNG consultant at Poten & Partners. He holds a masters degree in Global Energy Policy from New York University.

Muyu Xu

Senior Crude Oil Analyst

Muyu Xu is a Senior Crude Oil Analyst at Kpler. In her role, she primarily focuses on crude oil flows and fundamentals in the Asian market and collaborates closely with fellow analysts to provide comprehensive analysis and research on the global oil market.Before joining Kpler in early March, Muyu worked as a commodities and energy correspondent for 7-1/2 years at Reuters Beijing and Singapore bureau, covering a broad spectrum of topics including iron ore, coal, power, environment and oil.She is currently based in Singapore.

Roslan Khasawneh

Principle Heavy Distillates Analyst

Roslan is the Principle Heavy Distillates Analyst in Kpler's Insight team. He has over a decade of international experience in the energy industry, with particular expertise in Asia and the Middle East. He began his career in the media industry, first as a freelancer across SEAsia, Middle East and Central America, and then as a Reuters energy journalist in Singapore where he specialised in the global fuel oil markets, but often reported on middle and light distillate markets as well as on crude oil and shipping. Having cultivated a strong and diverse network over the years, he moved into the analytics space in 2022, and is skilled at leveraging data and his own market intelligence to deliver sharp insights that help clients identify critical risks and opportunities. Roslan is based in Singapore, and holds an MSc in Finance & Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands. He is fluent in English, Arabic and Bulgarian, and has lived in over a dozen countries.

Matt Wright

Lead Freight Analyst

Matthew Wright is the Lead Freight Analyst at Kpler. In his role, he leads on providing clients with expertise, analysis and research on the freight markets. Prior to Kpler, Matthew was a Senior Tanker Analyst at SSY ship brokers, where he was responsible for analysing oil tanker markets, leading the development of new models and handling consulting inquiries. Matthew has extensive oil market experience from seven years in consulting at Argus Media where he worked on a range of single client projects before moving on to manage the delivery the subscription reports focusing on freight, crude and refined products.
